Atlantic Webworks Acquires Social Media Firm - Twin City Sales & Marketing

Atlantic Social Media Group

Atlantic Webworks has acquired Twin City Sales and Marketing, a Winston-Salem-based company specializing in digital marketing and social media.

“This acquisition is part of our strategic plan for growth,” says Adrienne Cregar Jandler, president of Atlantic Webworks. “We are positioning to be able to further provide for the evolving corporate social media needs through Atlantic Webworks’ Social Media division, Atlantic Social Media Group.”

Cregar Jandler, who recently received the 2011 Women’s Entrepreneurship Award by the North Carolina Center for Entrepreneurship, started Atlantic Webworks in 1997, and says her firm’s many years developing websites evolved into helping clients develop overall online strategies and e-commerce platforms, as well as social media and interactive marketing plans. While the firm has been providing social media strategy and training for several years, the demand for end-to-end service has increased to a level which justified having a dedicated division wholly focused on delivering social media services. “Social media is being integrated more closely into organizations as they realize its unquestionable benefits, and with the addition of Twin City SAM, we’ll have a division with extensive real-world, proven experience specializing in helping medium to large companies with social media adoption and/or expansion.”

According to Cregar Jandler, Kristen Daukas, founder of Twin City SAM, will serve as director of the new division, and she brings years of hands-on expertise rare in today’s marketplace. “Kristen has a great reputation for successful social media solutions demonstrated by only a small percentage of active strategy consultants. She’s a pioneer and thought-leader.”

Daukas says, “This new arrangement is ideal. Atlantic Webworks has a great reputation for innovative web development with a large, well-known client base across the country. Combining their expertise with our experience developing and implementing social media strategies will give Atlantic Social Media Group the specialization needed in the market. We’re excited about the future.”

Cregar Jandler says Atlantic has aggressive plans for growth over the next three years. “We’re using short-term, flexible planning to get out ahead of what we believe will be the full integration and enterprise side of social and how companies engage and grow their businesses by tapping into these platforms. Companies need real expertise from people with years of focused experience. It’s why we’re adding Kristen’s group. They are true specialists in social media; it’s what they’ve been doing for years. As part of the Atlantic group, they will have the infrastructure and support to thrive, and together we’ll have the strongest overall team to handle the full spectrum of online needs of any client.”
